1. Who we are

Pantanal Oficial is a news portal and encyclopedia dedicated to the Pantanal biome, operated by Pantanal Oficial Comunicação Digital, headquartered in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. For questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. Data we collect

We only collect data strictly necessary for the operation of the portal:

Newsletter: email address and name (optional), voluntarily provided when subscribing.
Contact form: name, email, subject and message, voluntarily provided.
Navigation data (analytics): pages visited, time on site and access origin, collected anonymously by Umami Analytics, without personal identification.
Session cookies: used exclusively to maintain authenticated user sessions (admin area). Not used for advertising tracking.

3. How we use your data

Sending newsletters — only to subscribers who have expressly consented.
Responding to messages sent via the contact form.
Improving the browsing experience based on aggregated and anonymised data.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Data retention

Newsletter data is retained while you remain subscribed. After cancellation, it is deleted within 30 days. Contact messages are kept for up to 2 years for service history purposes. Anonymised analytical data has no defined expiry date.

We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), HTTP security headers and authentication-based access control.
