The COP15 – 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), will take place in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, gathering representatives from governments, international organizations, scientists, and environmental activists. The event will be held from March 23 to 29, 2026, focusing on biodiversity protection, sustainable policies, and solutions for the global environmental crisis.
During the conference, global targets for species conservation, ecosystem protection, and climate change mitigation measures will be discussed. Additionally, COP15 will promote debates on sustainable development and the valorization of Brazilian biodiversity, recognized as one of the richest in the world.
Campo Grande as a Strategic Host City
The choice of Campo Grande as the host city for COP15 reinforces the relevance of Mato Grosso do Sul in the country's environmental agenda, given the presence of the Pantanal, one of the most important and threatened biomes on the planet, and the Cerrado areas, fundamental for biodiversity.
The city will receive delegations from various countries, promoting the exchange of experiences, technologies, and public policies aimed at environmental conservation.
