The Mato Grosso do Sul State Department of Health presented, during the COP15 Convention on Biological Diversity, the actions developed in the state based on the concept of One Health, highlighting Mato Grosso do Sul as a reference in the integration between human, animal, and environmental health.
The participation occurred at an international side event to the conference, where the state shared experiences focused on integrated surveillance, disease prevention, and inter-institutional collaboration. The proposal seeks to anticipate risks and promote more effective responses to threats involving the environment, animals, and the population.
Among the points presented are monitoring strategies, structured public policies, and the articulation between different sectors, reinforcing the importance of joint action to face sanitary and environmental challenges.

The Mato Grosso do Sul model has consolidated itself as an innovative experience in Brazil, aligned with global guidelines that recognize the interdependence between health and biodiversity.
