Jaguar Spotted with Male Who Killed Her Cub in Pantanal

Photographers and tour guides spotted the jaguar Medrosa alongside the male Forasteiro, three days after he killed her cub in the Pantanal.

The footage, captured by Arruda Branco, shows the jaguars side-by-side drinking water in a river in the Mato Grosso Pantanal. According to the professional’s post, the animals were found mating.

Earlier this month, professional Ailton Lara spotted Forasteiro with Aime in his mouth. Hours before, the cub was seen playing by the river with its mother, and the male at a certain distance.

After being seen with her dead cub in his mouth, Medrosa appeared in the area calling for her cub.
